I have a few small projects I have been meaning to tackle as of late, and I've let the fantastic weather we've been having be my inspiration to actually work on them.
The first one involves some gorgeous woven Jaspé I purchased on a recent trip to Guatemala. As soon as I saw this piece in the market, I knew I wanted it for a lightweight bed cover.
I wanted to keep it simple as the intricate weaving itself is what is on show. For this simple project I simply cut two lengths of fabric and fastened them together using a durable Flat Felled Seam. I finished the edges with a blue velvet ribbon and some tiny rick rack trim.
